Storm's a-comin'...

That's something my Dad always says, metaphorically or realistically applied. But, seriously guys, yikes! Something wicked this way comes! Sandy...I only hope there's not too much damage done. On the bright side, if there's no school Monday, I'll have more time to study for that giant AP World test! (YES!)

What else is randomly on my mind? Um...oh! I finished a sock monkey today! :) That was cool, since I have virtually no free time any more. I also am making cookies right now...cutesy ones shaped like pumpkins. GO HALLOWEEN! Speaking of which, I haven't even thought of a costume yet. School, what have you done!

Ohhhh, also--I cannot WAIT until Les Mis and The Hobbit come out! Eeeeeep!

Whoa, man!!

GUYS! I just made a discovery...*looks around to make sure nobody's around* *whispers* LINDSEY STIRLING IS ON PANDORA! Yes, you did hear me right, person who just stumbled across this obscure blog! (Who blogs anymore, anyways?...Pshhhh, only crazy people with time on their hands and no Chemistry homework to do. Ahem. I digress.) I mean, WOWZA! I am so gleefully happy, that I just literally danced around my room, jamming to "Spontaneous Me"! How spontaneous of me! Hahaha...that was a Lindsey Stirling joke. Oh, man, I am on fire today. Anyways, the awesome Piano Guys are, too! So, CHECK THEM OUT AS WELL! OH MY WORD the song "Shadows" just came on...I think I'm going to cry. This is bliss. Yuppp, this is my new jamming station for homework, no question! Isn't that a glamorous picture of Lindsey above? I like it a lot.
Well, there's a random post for ya! Still. I love music, I love quality music, I love quality violin music, and all of this = Lindsey Stirling + The Piano Guys. And hey, apparently they're doing a music video together! AMAZING-NESS! Therefore, The Piano Guys + Lindsey Stirling = Happiness Beyond Belief.
Farewell, friends!

Sock Monkeys! And, y'know, other stuff!

HEY there! :) Well, as you know, school is drawing near...scarily near...in fact, August 27th, which is far too early for my liking. I've been outlining as often as breathing, and working on some sock monkeys to sell. Here are some I've sold...
Photo: Hi Miranda! :) Here's your monkey. Love you! Liz has your address, right?
Photo: Hey Emma Carey!! :) Here it is! How should I get it to you? Plus, I forget...is this one free, or are you paying 7 bucks?
Photo: Number Three!! :)

Photo: Hey, Kelsey! :D Do you like her?
Photo: Creation #2!! :D In'nt he cute?

My favorite, I think, is this gent in the bowtie:

Photo: Creation numba 4...he's a gent, isn't he? Should've given him a top hat or something.

Yuppp, so...any other updates? Well, I'm turning 16 next year. YIKES. How frightening is that prospect? I mean, me on the road, for one thing...
I still love Divine Comedy. A lot. Also, the latest video Lindsey Stirling has put up (one of 'em) is pretty killer awesome!! If you love Phantom of the Opera—well, and if you don't, too—enjoy!

Indexing!

I helped index the first half of the 1940 US census
Cool! I've been helping out with the 1940 census indexing, and I received this badge for helping them to reach 50 percent in the effort...well, a virtual badge, but cool nonetheless :)

Things I Have Learned From BYU'S Divine Comedy:...

So, just to once-and-for-all prove that I love Divine Comedy...and that I'm a procrastinator when it comes to English homework...I have compiled a brief list of the things I have learned from Divine Comedy. If you're a true fan, you'll get these. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, please don't be alarmed by anything you read below :D

  • The function of cells and platelets.
  • When a heart has nothing to pump, it will get bored, and then die.
  • The California state bird is the quail.
  • The Greek name for an East Wind is Eurus.
  • Never say "Yes" when you haven't heard the question!
  • Never watch a Golden Girls marathon the night before a big test.
  • Poor kid's shoes are available outside the ball pit at McDonald's.
  • "Thievery is fun!...There are all kinds of things you can steal!"
  • You would do well to treat your intended with the respect that she inherently deserves...
  • Being a Canadian is considered exotic.
  • What a "hipster" is.
  • Though Matt Meese is only 112 pounds, he's quite buoyant!
  • Harry Potter is REAL. It ain't no puppet show.
  • To get a girl: Get your hair done-did. Buy yourself some new kicks, and a large, economy-sized bottle...of cologne.
  • If you liked it then you should've put a ring on it, Provo style.
  • For girls at the Y, most common major's an MRS degree.
  • If Mr. Wiggles had been blow-dried in time, he wouldn't have caught pneumonia...
  • Snape's mother watches Dancing with the Stars frequently.
  • Sometimes testimonies are best given through interpretive dance.
  • You must meditate before turning into your "stage being"!
  • That Cynth...Mayyy...Rehhhh...Jemima is a legit name.
  • Adam's favorite animal is the flamingo.
  • If you take Easy Cheese and ketchup and put them between crackers, it tastes just like pizza.
  • When one speaks French...BAGUETTE.
  • Thanks to Future Adam, you've never heard of Bozo the Fascist Clown.
  • Nice guys don't finish last.
Yes, that's my "brief" list XD Oh, and just to mention, I LOVE the Piano Guys...they are AMAZING! If you have not heard about them, go visit their channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/ThePianoGuys

Au revoir, and HAPPY WEDNESDAY! :D Never forget to smile!

General Conference

Hey guys! :) This General Conference...wow. I really enjoyed it! I especially loved President Monson's talk about the "Race of Life". In fact, I'm so fancy that I have a link to it:
 http://www.lds.org/general-conference/2012/04/the-race-of-life?lang=eng
We really do need to focus more on the eternal things of life. Other details are insignificant in comparison to what we can be, and what we should stand for.

Oh, and in OTHER news...

Does anyone recognize this handsome young man? Hmmm? Well, I DID! That, my friends, is David Archuleta at the MTC!!! :D I am SO very excited that he's on a mission now! Also, to top the coolness in a way akin to whipped cream, my friend's cousin is in there with him. How about that?

And in other other news, it is with great sadness that I report that the three coolest members (in my opinion) of BYU's Divine Comedy—

        Matt Meese...

   Mallory Everton...

and Jason Gray...

Are leaving! LEAVING! GONE! Which makes for a very, very sad Anna...but! Not all is lost. Apparently they're making a show on BYUTV called the Common Room, and that will have them in it. Huzzah!

Easter was great fun. We had the cousins over again, and a rather epic Easter Egg hunt. I also got time to reflect on the Savior on Easter Sunday, which was very special for me. My friend's friend—who is also my friend, so...my friend—got baptized. That was simply amazing, and I hope never to forget it! Of course, the event has been magnificently and closely recorded in my handy-dandy journal, so...'tisn't likely. :) Now, what shall I ramble on about next? Hmm...oh! How 'bout EFY money? :) I have more than a hundred dollars now, huzzah! Yet, still, I must reach that lofty peak of 455 dollars...hmmmm...it shall be done, though, somehow. And if not this year, the next. Anyway, I have other ways to Arise and Shine Forth. Youth Conference is sure to be amazing—we're going to the Hill Cumorah!

While my cousins were over, we had some fun with the webcam...:) As is evident here.

So, peace out, CTR, the church is true, and start working on your Scripture Masteries, you Seminary students. The date is drawing nigh to beat the Bishop! Haha :D I must go back to re-memorizing some stuff, so...au revoir!

For the Sake of Random! :)

Hello, lonely cyberspace! :) It's curious...I was looking through my Stats, and apparently many random people from around the world have stumbled across this blog. Huh. Thank you, whoever you are! You are quite cool, even if it was by accident! I have people from Latvia, Russia, Slovenia, Narnia...well, maybe not Narnia. I digress. Anyways, what's new? Well, we had a Tri-Stake Dance on Saturday that was QUITE epic. I went to bed at about midnight, but it was totally worth it. BYU's Divine Comedy remains epic, I highly suggest you look them up. Also, ARISE! That's the EFY theme this year. Of course, I MAY not be able to go this year, unless I save up $150 dollars in time...hmmm. But, the point is, Arise! Face the day with happiness, and light! Also...brownies are amazing. And also...several projects are due at school, and I'm afraid I'm slipping my tight grip on the "NO PROCRASTINATION" rule by typing this right now, so...be on your way. Adieu!

Big News! :) (Or, should I say, Little News!)

So! THIS year the high school, for their musical, is doing Annie....guess what part I got?

Molly!

MOLLY!!!!

:D Isn't that COOL? I really wanted that part, so I'm super excited. Not that the Internet or people who happened to click on this page even want to know that...;) But I am SO EXCITED!

It should be really fun!
Well, I have to fly...farewell...
